Lotensin can cause low blood pressure, especially if you are also taking a diuretic. fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms;. Follow the directions on the prescription label. If you have any of these conditions, you may not be able to use benazepril, or you may need a dosage adjustment or special tests during treatment. If you're on kidney dialysis, your chances of an allergic reaction to the drug are increased. Regular total dosages range from 20 to 40 milligrams per day either taken in a single dose or divided into 2 equal doses.
